Session 1 - The Global Picture and Your Vision of yourself as a Leader
This will be an interactive opportunity to set the scene with your fellow course participants with an engaging activity to explore your personal leadership style and your vision of yourself as a leader.
Objectives:
- Explore the changing role of women in the workplace
- Develop a vision of yourself as a leader
- Raise awareness of the challenges within the workplace for aspiring female leaders

Objectives:
- Explore the specific leadership attributes and their associated behaviours that need to be demonstrated within your work environment
- Discover how can you win credibility both within and beyond your organization through being accountable
- Consider the kind of role-model you are when faced with challenges

Session 3 – Authentic Leadership
Objectives:
- Consider how to create a culture of safety and trust using Covey’s 13 Trust behaviours
- Discover your communication style using the Social Styles questionnaire
- Reflect on your communication style and the challenges of working with difference and diversity

Session 4 – Authentic listening
Objectives:
- Gain an insight into the importance of listening on a deeper level to oneself and others to truly understand
- Practice listening on three different levels
- Learn how to facilitate honest and meaningful dialogue with colleagues to influence and persuade

Session 5 – Nurturing Self-Esteem
Objectives:
- Understand the importance of self-awareness when developing confidence
- Reflect on the difference between self-confidence and self-esteem
- Consider your presence and personal impact in front of an audience

Session 6 – PROVE IT! – Sell your business idea
Objectives:
- Explore your presence and know how to develop confidence, charisma and energy from the inside-out
- Practice structuring a business proposal and selling an idea to your team
- Gain specific feedback on your vocal ability, presence and influencing skills
- Experience the power of authentic communication and the importance of self-belief
Method: PowerPoint presentation, proposal delivery in small groups with feedback from the trainer

Session 7 – Understanding your motivational style and managing conflict
Objectives:
- Understand your motivational style and what drives you to be successful
- Identify areas for development and develop a personal formula for coping with challenging relationships
- Explore the role of a manager in facing and resolving personality clashes and conflict
- Discover your personal conflict resolution style as a woman in the workplace
- Discuss strategies and approaches to handling conflict at work

Session 8 – What is EQ?
Objectives:
- Understand the key concepts of emotional intelligence for women in the workplace
- Recognise the need to identify and respond to your emotions
- Reflect on the emotional ‘charge’ in your current working relationships

Session 9 – Coaching and Learning Review
Objectives:
- Practice 3-way coaching and action planning based on this event
- Reflect on personal competencies and create well-formed outcomes for personal EQ challenges
- Review the learning from the 2 days
- Create an action plan for return to the workplace
