Getting to Sharjah from Dubai is very easy.
The corniche area is about 15-20 km from downtown Dubai and only 15km from Dubai Airport.
Traffic is not a problem either, as the congestion happens going from Sharjah to Dubai in the morning and coming from Dubai to Sharjah in the evening. You will be going the opposite way, with little traffic.
